TaWanda Hunter Stallworth is a Carlisle native, community advocate, and public servant running to represent Pennsylvania’s 199th House District. A proud graduate of Carlisle High School, TaWanda has deep roots in the district and her family has lived here for seven generations. Her journey from adversity to achievement has shaped a fierce commitment to service and equity. After navigating early challenges, TaWanda earned her Bachelor of Science in Organizational Behavior and Applied Psychology from Albright College and a Master of Divinity from Lancaster Theological Seminary, both magna cum laude.

With over 20 years of experience in education and human services, TaWanda has led programs that connect underserved communities with vital resources. She currently serves as Program Manager at Penn State Dickinson Law’s Antiracist Development Institute and has previously worked in leadership roles at POWER Interfaith, the Camp Curtin YMCA, and the Boys & Girls Club of Lancaster. Her work has brought together nonprofits, community leaders, and everyday residents to break down barriers and deliver meaningful change. TaWanda has also served on numerous local boards, including the Carlisle YWCA, LGBT Center of Central Pennsylvania, and Leadership Harrisburg Area.

TaWanda’s campaign is grounded in compassion, faith, and results. She believes the people of the 199th deserve better access to education, jobs, infrastructure, and responsive representation. Whether advocating for traffic safety in neighborhoods, supporting youth programs, or helping returning citizens find stability, TaWanda shows up with integrity and purpose. She’s running for state representative to ensure that all voices are heard, all families are valued, and no one is left behind.
